Any number of children can play piñata. The piñata is hung from the ceiling about a foot out of the players’ reaches. The first player is given a stick, blindfolded and spun around. The player then has to figure out where the piñata is and aim his stick in that direction. The player swings at the piñata while the rest of the crowd cheers him on and shouts directions to him.

The game of piñata ends with the piñata breaking. Players take turns being blindfolded, spun, and swinging at the piñata, hoping to break it. When someone finally breaks the piñata, the candy comes out, and all the party guests rush to get their share of the candy. The player that breaks the piñata is considered the winner of the game!
